Reporting to the Director of Copy, who also leads our AI search efforts, youll join the Marketing team, which spans CRM, growth, and the emerging areas of SEO and GEO. Its a fast-moving, collaborative group that values high standards, data-driven results, and creativity. Twice a year we come together for Marketing team weeks, and once a year for a full company team weekeach one a chance to connect, recharge, and have a great time together.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

  • Manage GEO strategy across all owned web properties, optimizing for both traditional ranking factors and AI-driven query experiences.
  • Monitor and adapt to evolving SERP formats, AI answer boxes, and conversational search features across Google, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other emerging engines.
  • Build frameworks for content optimization in the context of LLM consumption, including entity mapping, structured content, and semantic context building.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and content teams to implement scalable GEO tactics.
  • Track performance in generative search environments, including presence in AI summaries, references, and answer citations.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on the shifting landscapes of search, bridging traditional SEO (Search Engine Optimization) with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices.
  • Stay on top of evolving standards and tools in AI-driven discovery, and drive innovation in how we future-proof our search visibility.
  • Generate data-driven reports to leadership on a weekly or biweekly cadence.
  • Write GEO and SEO-optimized content to help feed LLMs and search engines.
  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, with deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and search analytics.
  • At least 68 months of hands-on work with generative search optimization (e.g., AI Overviews optimization, LLM-oriented content strategies, conversational search readiness).
  • Strong track record of adapting to major shifts in search algorithms and discovery trends.
  • Outstanding writing skills, with a proven ability to craft SEO and GEO-optimized content that drives search-engine performance.
  • Ability to translate complex changes in search technology into actionable strategies for cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, knowledge graphs, and entity-driven SEO.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using emerging GEO and traditional SEO platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating with executives.

Additional information: Salary rangeof $145,000 - $175,000/year + bonus + benefits.Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
