Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Manufacturing Engineer (Associate or Experience Level) to support the Ground Support Equipment Engineering Team in Berkeley, MO .

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of fabrication methodologies for ground support equipment. You will participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions, lean principles, and fabrication technologies. You will assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing plans, perform engineering assessments, develop engineering estimates, resolve technical problems, and assist in the implementation of new engineering concepts.

Your primary focus will be on ground support equipment for tactical aircraft manufactured by Boeing. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in electrical design, manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with standardized procedures and best practices, along with demonstrated ability to apply lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies in a production setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze problems to support the design, development and fabrication of company products.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs), and work instructions from engineering Baseline.
  • \n
  • Create and release special manufacturing instructions as necessary for fabrication of company products.
  • \n
  • Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects of modifications on engineering designs.
  • \n
  • Inspect material or fabricated assemblies for definition compliance.
  • \n
  • Assist with drafting Internal and Supplier Statements of Work.
  • \n
  • Assist with validation of contractual performance milestones, maintaining configuration control, conducting reviews, and preparing plans for productions readiness.
  • \n
  • Develop and implement workarounds for production delays caused by missing or nonconforming tools or materials.
  • \n
  • Assist in developing and/or monitoring configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
  • \n
  • Make recommendations for the disposition of assets on current and future work statements.
  • \n
  • Support verification of compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements on new designs.
  • \n
  • Leverage knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.
  • \n
  • Communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.

  • Research and assemble labor estimates in support of proposal activity.
  • \n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
  • \n
  • 2+ years knowledge of manufacturing principles and their application.
  • \n
  • Ability to work in a hands-on production environment, interfacing with technicians and other engineering disciplines.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • \n
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    \n
  • 5+ Years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • \n
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, electrical design, or production support engineering.
  • \n
  • Experience in an electrical assembly, maintenance, repair, or overhaul environment.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with tactical aircraft systems and ground maintenance procedures.
  • \n
  • Understanding of electrical and electronic fabrication techniques.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, military specifications).
  • \n
  • Experience with project management or supplier coordination related to procurement and fabrication.
  • \n
  • Experience with ground support equipment in an aerospace or industrial setting.
  • \n

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Associate-Level S ummary Pay Range: $83,300 - 112,700

Experienced-Level S ummary Pay Range: $98,600 - 133,400
