Job Description Summary/Objective:
The HR Assistant performs varied clerical functions and related general office duties that require the use of work methods and procedures in the area of personnel/ payroll administration. These responsibilities may differ daily, depending on business demand.
Essential Functions:

Assist with administering employee policies.
Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
Performs a wide range of duties related to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
Coordinate and support employee engagement events and company functions, including planning logistics, managing vendor communication, tracking RSVPs, and assisting with setup and breakdown.
Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, department heads, public and private agencies and all BSC visitors.
Provides clerical and operational support to other HR staff.
Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as an HR Assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
Solid understanding of MS Office
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong communication skills
General knowledge of human resource programs, regulations and guidelines
Knowledge and experience with administrative and clerical processes and procedures
Strong computer, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Additional Considerations:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Degree in related field
Experience with HRIS systems
Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday -Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
