The Fuel Dispatch Specialist will be responsible for the inventory and deliveries to all BJ's Gas Station locations. This position will manage inventory levels, set supplier pull points, and schedule fuel deliveries with our common carriers. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day communication with our common carriers, including, negotiating freight rates, managing freight invoice discrepancies, and any issues with product quality and/or shortages from deliveries. The Fuel Dispatch Specialist will make decisions regarding carriers based on scheduling availability and supply source. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all supply contract term volumes have been fulfilled weekly / monthly. The Fuel Dispatch Specialist be responsible for monitoring gasoline inventories at all clubs to ensure stations are operating at the most efficient levels. This position will be responsible for timely delivery of gasoline on a 24 hour/7 day basis. This position will be on call 24 hours/day.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Managing gasoline inventories, managing carriers' performance based on the dispatchers delivery schedule, dispatching deliveries to clubs
• Managing cost of goods based on market movement and changes to cost by utilizing the spot rack, term contract, and / or fixed contract supply to optimize profitability on a load by load basis.
• Utilizing all automated systems for dispatch and fully document/verify product deliveries in a manner that minimizes discrepancies with inventory accounting and accounts payable.
• Reviewing delivery documentation to ensure proper paper-flow and invoice payments to vendors, reconciliation issues with suppliers and carriers (demurrage claims, multiple stop charges, etc.), miscellaneous duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Fuel industry experience a plus
• Ambitious and career-conscious person
• Sound decision making required

Job Conditions

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $56,500.00.
