PLC, SCADA, and BAS/BMS Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead the execution of PLC, SCADA, and Building Management Systems (BMS) projects. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills to successfully manage construction and commissioning efforts across multiple project sites. The Project Manager will work cross-functionally with engineering, programming, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, on-time results.
This role requires traveling around the region up to 75%. All project managers should be ready and available for travel needs as they come.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project intake, scheduling, documentation, and coordination across internal teams.
Oversee subcontractor hiring, contract compliance, and installation quality.
Procure and coordinate materials based on site timelines and storage needs.
Ensure accurate billing and compile project close-out documentation.
Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders; attend site visits and project meetings.
Support field teams during commissioning; manage corrections and owner training.
Track project costs, labor, and materials; recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Stay current with industry standards; mentor junior project managers and train new hires.
Enforce safety and quality standards; review installation work and documentation accuracy.
Lead by example; contribute to team meetings and project success with a proactive mindset.
Qualifications:
5-6 years of proven experience managing PLC, SCADA, or Building Management Systems projects
Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, commissioning processes, and documentation standards
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing construction schedules
Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and billing procedures
Ability to travel up to 75% as required by project needs
Strong commitment to safety, quality control, and team collaboration
