Company Overview DRS Marlo Coil manufactures robust heat transfer, refrigeration, and air handling equipment for industrial, commercial, utility and marine markets. Our custom engineered heat transfer solutions are used in a variety of configurations to cool, heat, and dehumidify air streams for process and building comfort. Job Responsibilities \n - Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
\n - Follow written work instructions
\n - Work under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs
\n - May perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified processes and procedures
\n - Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
\n - Able to effectively communicate with other functional departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Sales departments
\n - Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels
\n - Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
\n - Be a self-starter and demonstrate good decision making ability
\n - Must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
\n - Proper use of required PPE
\n - May periodically assist in orienting and training lower level employees
\n - May participate in LEAN Events, "Six S" activities, action teams etc.
\n - Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
\n - Understand requirements, possess appropriate skills, and perform various welding processes in all positions on products of all applicable metals
\n - Weld with a high degree of proficiency, experience and knowledge, able to meet various codes and specifications including AWS and ASME
\n - Know, qualify and perform the following: MIG: carbon steels, stainless steel, and aluminum and combination; TIG: carbon steels, stainless steel, aluminum, and combination; Submerge ARC: carbon steels, stainless steel, and combination; SMAW: carbon steels, stainless steel, and combination
\n - Perform material preparation, open set-up and fit to meet process requirements proficiently in all required operations
\n - Read blueprints, weld symbols and NDE symbols and interpret acceptance criteria
\n - Coordinate effective communication regarding production processes with other departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Sales
\n - Accurately perform visual inspection of weldments to confirm compliance to various codes and standards
\n - Perform daily and weekly maintenance on all equipment
\n - Share technical requirements, techniques, safety information, etc with peers

Qualifications - High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in welding
\n
