Vice President, Public Relations Corporate Purpose and Social Impact We are seeking a Vice President, Public Relations to join our global Corporate Purpose and Social Impact team, focusing on the health sector. This full-time role is based in New York City with a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office). You will work with innovative healthcare, pharmaceutical, and CSR clients—shaping narratives that promote purpose-led initiatives and drive impact. Collaborate with senior communications leaders and industry experts in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator passionate about public relations, social impact, and storytelling, aiming to contribute to the growth of our Global Purpose Practice. FINN Partners’ Purpose Practice collaborates with corporations, nonprofits, foundations, associations, and pharmaceutical companies to activate purpose authentically and measurably. Our focus includes health equity, social justice, sustainability, and economic opportunity—driven by a creative, strategic team committed to using communications as a force for good. Primary Responsibilities: Develop client content such as media materials, online content, blog outreach, media pitches, bylines, and Q&As. Deliver high-quality programs aligned with client goals. Serve as the point person for key accounts on media relations activities—review invite lists, pitch lists, write reports, manage multiple accounts. Engage proactively with target media, including top-tier and broadcast outlets, to generate results and positioning. Oversee media outreach activities and measure outcomes for clients. Develop media strategies and campaign activations, including executive visibility and thought leadership. Manage press and event planning within overall media relations strategies. Maintain and grow relationships with reporters across top-tier, business, and healthcare outlets. Understand client competitors and business strategies. Position brands strategically with media; monitor and report media trends. Lead client calls with on-the-spot recommendations. Strategize storytelling around media landscapes, including editorial calendars and media moves programs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or Minimum of 8 years agency experience with at least 3+ years focused on healthcare, demonstrating the ability to lead multiple projects. Strong healthcare media background in med tech, pharma, biotech, with extensive media contacts. Experience in all client service phases: PR/communications plans, media pitching, content development, project management, reporting, and budget tracking. Proven media relations skills: strategy development, relationship building, story pitching. Excellent client relationship skills, especially with high-touch clients. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; minimal edits required for press releases and bylines.
