About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Head of Government Affairs to spearhead its strategy for legislative and regulatory engagement at the state and federal levels. This newly created role is pivotal in proactively monitoring and influencing policies that impact the business, with a particular focus on the evolving areas of healthcare, AI, compliance, and digital innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for policy advocacy, government engagement, and will serve as a strategic connector between legislative developments and product and technology teams to ensure compliance and future regulatory readiness. Key responsibilities include collaborating with executive leadership to develop government affairs strategy, representing the company to public officials and stakeholders, and leading lobbying efforts. The role also involves building and maintaining influential relationships, monitoring legislative activity, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. Applicants for the VP, Head of Government Affairs position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 15 years' experience in government affairs, public policy, or healthcare regulatory strategy. A deep understanding of the healthcare and technology policy landscape, particularly in the areas of AI-related healthcare policy, is essential. The role requires a proven track record in influencing policy outcomes, experience in both state and federal legislative processes, and expertise in state-level compliance topics. The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with key federal agencies and strong analytical skills to assess legislative impact. The ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, manage external advocacy efforts, and align policy goals with business objectives is also necessary.
