Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 hour shifts (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM), includes minimal on-call hours

Job Summary:

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology/Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging and related procedures across multiple patient populations including adolescents, infants, adults, and pediatrics in an acute care setting. This is a night shift position requiring flexibility to float within scope and cover X-ray duties when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Philips 64 slice Brilliance-CT and Philips X-ray equipment
• Perform CT imaging procedures for various body regions including abdomen, pelvis, head, neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal systems
• Conduct specialized imaging such as brain perfusion and vascular CTA
• Apply knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and contrast media preparation/administration
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in Emergency Department, ICU, and adult/pediatric acute care settings
• Provide on-call coverage and float to meet facility needs, including X-ray coverage
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including infection control and radiation protection

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience; new graduates considered
• Certifications: ARRT-CT, ARRT-R, BLS required
• Experience with adult acute care and emergency room preferred
• Ability to perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs
• Skilled in image display, post-processing, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
• Must be willing to work nights and participate in on-call and weekend coverage
• Must float within the hospital and cover X-ray duties as needed
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from Kodiak, AK (no local candidates accepted)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency with Philips CT and PACS systems
• Experience with trauma level I or II care and teaching hospital settings
• Familiarity with specialized studies such as enterography, intravenous pyelogram, and vascular chest CTA

Work Environment:

• Acute Care Medical Center with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
• Level IV Trauma and Critical Access Hospital designation
• Use of Epic electronic medical record system
• Facility provides housing (1-bedroom apartments) and rental vehicle during assignment
• Facility has a strict no-pets policy in provided housing
• Parking is free

Additional Information:

• Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day
• Orientation includes 40 hours of non-billable training
• Guaranteed 60 hours every 2 weeks with potential call-off for one 12-hour shift every 2 weeks
• Vehicle use limited to within 30 miles of the facility

Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,708.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $468.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $2,240.00 Per Week
