Job Description

The role of the Territory Sales Manager is to effectively manage a designated territory and support a sales team in growing sales revenue while professionally representing Ply Gem (Siding). Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling, supporting, and developing an account base. The role also involves providing pre-sales and post-sales support, performing sales and account management to meet and exceed quotas, conducting customer account development training, identifying potential customers, creating proposals, executing sales strategies, and participating in trade shows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow established accounts.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain sales orders, and establish new accounts.
  • Study market segments for existing and potential volume.
  • Utilize sales resources effectively to secure new business.
  • Plan and organize daily work using a structured call frequency system.
  • Conduct sales promotion and customer educational meetings.
  • Generate leads and follow up on them.
  • Adjust pricing within guidelines and recommend changes.
  • Evaluate market results and monitor competitors.
  • Resolve customer complaints and investigate issues to develop solutions.
  • Submit sales forecasts and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Gather marketplace information on competitors and new products.
  • Customize sales presentations and master sales techniques.
  • Maintain sales records and submit weekly reports.
  • Develop and maintain customer profiles and territory records.
  • Perform AIA presentations if required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors preferred.
  • At least 3 years of proven direct sales experience, preferably in building products.
  • Knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience across channels.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of major competitors brands.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in sales planning, budgeting, and managing expenses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Position requires heavy travel (50%+).

The total target compensation (base + incentives) is $110,000 - $115,000. Further details will be provided during hiring.
