Job Description
Schools in Redding, CA, are seeking dedicated Substitute Paraprofessionals to provide classroom support and assist educators in maintaining a productive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ daily learning experiences while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with instructional support in general or special education settings
Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to students as directed
Help maintain classroom organization, safety, and a positive learning atmosphere
Support students with daily activities, transitions, and classroom engagement
Follow teacher or administrator directions to ensure continuity of learning
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a classroom or child-centered environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow directions and adapt to varying classroom needs
High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may require additional coursework or certifications)
Reliability and a genuine interest in supporting student success
