Hoffman Enclosures, Inc has an opening for a Staff Engineer in Anoka, Minnesota. This position is hybrid; can work from home up to 2 days per week, as permitted. Job duties include the following Lead teams to develop products from discovery, through development and launch. Partner with Marketing to survey industry and identify vectors of growth and develop products. Lead cross-functional teams that develop and launch products using customer and market specifications from design to prototype to production. Partner with customers, engage in industry partnership, and establish relationships to advance product and technology reach. Apply technological expertise to specific projects i.e., heat transfer analysis, SS tube bending and welding technologies etc. Coordinate and maintain development schedules. Direct outside activities such as regulatory or other third-party testing. Establish test specifications and protocols. Assist in the development of product roadmaps. Domestic travel 2-3 times per year. Minimum requirements: Must possess at least a bachelor s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as an Electromechanical Engineer or in a related role. Must also possess the following: at least 3 years of experience leading the design of new product development; at least 3 years of experience with project management; at least 3 years of experience leading teams; at least 3 years of experience building and maintaining comprehensive project documentation; at least 3 years of experience ensuring resource availability and allocation and developing detailed project plans to track progress; and demonstrable knowledge in psychometrics and heat transfer.
