SERVICENOW DEVELOPER

JOB TYPE: Full-time

WORK LOCATION: Hybrid Remote- US based. (3 Days Onsite) Open only to candidates who reside in the DC Metropolitan area.

ABOUT: Leading woman-owned small business Education Technology (EdTech) and Information Technology (IT) Consulting firm based in Washington, DC area that specializes in Cybersecurity / Data Protection, Cloud Lifecycle, Software Development and Data Science

POSITION: We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with expertise in developing ServiceNow solutions to improve IT service operations. The role involves working within a dynamic IT operations and technical solutions group that supports federal government customers. In this role, you should be technically sound, detail oriented with the ability to lead tasks and ensure the delivery of quality software. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ServiceNow Developer responsibilities include:

• Understand and document business outcomes and functional requirements
• Translate requirements into effective ServiceNow designs and technical solutions
• Support data migration / validation activities from legacy systems to ServiceNow, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct in-depth testing of ServiceNow configurations to validate functionality, data integrity, and user acceptance
• Participate in technical communities to stay informed of best practices and changes within the ServiceNow ecosystem and share them with the organization
• Educate stakeholders, teammates and users on self-service solutions
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders, partners, and teammates to define deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: ServiceNow Developer must have:

• 5+ years of proven hands-on experience as a ServiceNow developer
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certification
• Certified Implementation Specialist Software Asset Management
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
• Strong technical skills, including workflow configuration, and business rule development.
• Experience in customizing UI and creating complex workflows.
• Experience implementing and managing GitHub
• Experience with modern software testing frameworks
• Collaborative team player who is detailed oriented, focused on software quality
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field

SALARY: $97,500 - $152,000
