Senior Mechanical Fueling Engineer - Aviation & Federal (Honolulu) at Burns & McDonnell. Responsibilities

• Design and construction experience in one or more of the following industries: Commercial or Military Fuel Systems, Oil & Gas, Water/Wastewater, or Industrial Systems.
• Engage with clients (commercial, military, domestic, or international) and apply leadership and people-skills to drive projects and client satisfaction.
• Support growth by leading or contributing to mechanical design efforts and providing technical leadership to less experienced staff.
• Assist clients with planning facility improvements for mechanical aspects of projects and determine project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Contribute to projects involving airport fuel receipt, storage and distribution facilities; jet fuel hydrant distribution systems; pipeline and transport truck fuel receipt systems; jet fuel storage tanks; into-hydrant pumping and filtration systems; refueler truck loading positions; aircraft hydrant fuel systems; oilwater separation systems; single and double-wall fuel piping; and related piping system hydraulic modeling and stress analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) required with experience at other consulting firms and/or construction contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge to broad assignments and to provide leadership and guidance to staff.
• Knowledge of standard mechanical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures; strong attention to detail, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Regular interaction with clients or outside personnel and ability to facilitate project planning and communication.

Compensation

$135,000.00$185,000.00 yearly. The total compensation includes base salary and eligibility to participate in discretionary year-end incentive programs, in compliance with local/state regulations and factors such as education, qualifications, experience, and location.
