Job Description

As a member of the Search Ads team, you'll tackle complex challenges in distributed systems, search relevance, ad targeting, and ROI maximization, helping shape the future of our global ad platforms. If you're passionate about working on high-performance systems and pushing the boundaries of NLP and search ads, this is the role for you!

What You'll Do:

• Develop and Optimize Ads Systems: Build, scale, and improve large-scale ad platforms and monetization systems.
• NLP & Search Relevance Models: Lead the development of advanced NLP models for query understanding, including semantic matching, text classification, Named Entity Recognition (NER), sequence-to-sequence (seq2seq) models, and knowledge graphs.
• Search Ranking & Ad Strategy Optimization: Focus on enhancing ad relevance through machine learning-driven ranking strategies and multi-modal approaches (text, photo, video).
• Modeling & Estimation: Optimize click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate (CVR) models, refine data analysis pipelines, and improve feature engineering for ad performance.
• Innovation in Ad Delivery: Research and develop algorithms for dynamic ad pacing, traffic control, and other optimization strategies to maximize ROI.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to define product strategies, develop new features, and drive improvements across ad products.

Requirements:

• Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, C/C++, or Python.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following domains: Search, Ads, Recommendation Systems, Monetization Products, or Shopping Platforms.
• NLP and Machine Learning Knowledge: Hands-on experience with NLP techniques (query understanding, NER, semantic matching, seq2seq, etc.), machine learning, and deep learning models.
• Specialized Skills: Strong background in ranking systems, recommendation algorithms, or ad optimization techniques.
• Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to search ads, NLP, and machine learning.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
