Job Title: Security Systems Technician

Location: Totowa, NJ

Employment Type: Contract to hire

Experience Level: Mid-Level (2–3 Years of experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7 am - 4 pm

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing a variety of security systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. This will be in commercial environments - new construction. It will be apartments, businesses, law firms, financial institutions, etc. This involves running cable and installing/mounting devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service IP-based CCTV systems
• Install and service card access control systems
• Install and service burglar and fire alarm systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
• Perform cable running and terminations
• Install electronic door and lock hardware
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues independently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, professional appearance
• Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide solutions

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in security system installation and service
• Solid understanding of construction practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision
• Self-motivated and customer-focused

Preferred Skills:

• Additional certifications in security systems
• Experience with advanced access control technologies
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
