As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors, guests, and staff with professionalism and courtesy. You will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations as they arise. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment to address any issues that arise at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or property damage to the appropriate personnel or authorities as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required within the retail or mall location.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activities.
• Assist with crowd management and/or customer inquiries as needed, providing a helpful and professional presence at all times.
• Complete all required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a current guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
