About Lake’s Crossing Center

Located in Sparks, NV, Lake’s Crossing is a secure state facility serving individuals court-ordered for psychiatric evaluation and treatment. The center specializes in:

Competency evaluations and restoration

Risk assessments and treatment recommendations

Outpatient forensic evaluations

Psychiatric care in a structured legal framework

Role Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments for legal competency, risk, and mental status

Provide clinical treatment for forensic clients, including individual and group therapy

Develop comprehensive psychological reports and participate in court proceedings as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, legal staff)

Participate in competency restoration programs using evidence-based methods

Qualifications

Nevada Psychologist license (active and in good standing)

Forensic experience preferred – training available for the right candidate

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Interest in working with legal populations and complex psychiatric cases
