Job Title: PLC Programmer

Location: Fresno, CA

Compensation: $80k - $100k/year

Position Summary

This role is responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of plant-wide programmable control systems and computer-based processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, industrial controls, and plant systems integration, and will work cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and IT teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support all existing PLC and plant computer systems.
• Design and implement new process control systems and related software.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, focusing on automation and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on the development and implementation of new processes.
• Support automation-driven cost reduction projects.
• Administer and maintain the plant’s local computer network.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of system changes and configurations.
• Coordinate with corporate or external IT teams on system upgrades and modifications.
• Specify, order, and manage hardware/software for all plant control systems.
• Oversee computer system security, including access controls, passwords, and email use.
• Provide troubleshooting and project support to the electrical department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• Travel to other facilities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PLC Controls
• Experience using RSLogix
• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
