We are currently seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Clinical Specialist to join our Outpatient Therapy Department . This position is key to the success of our rehabilitation services by ensuring patients are welcomed, scheduled efficiently, and supported with the necessary administrative and clerical tasks.
Key responsibilities include:Managing patient check-in and check-out processes.
Scheduling therapy appointments and verifying insurance coverage.
Obtaining and organizing referrals and related documentation.
Providing professional and courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.
Performing clerical duties such as data entry, document handling, and phone communication.
Shift: 7am-3pm
This position reports directly to the Outpatient Therapy Supervisor , who reports to the Director of Outpatient Services .
QUALIFICATIONS Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or college degree preferred .
Experience with administrative and office organizational tasks is preferred .
Competency in typing and use of computer systems .
Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize work.
Strong commitment to customer service , including interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors.
Understanding of patient scheduling and basic medical terminology .
Strong organization skills , including managing changing priorities and deadlines.
Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and phone etiquette .
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Sound common sense , logic , and the ability to adapt to varying tasks and schedules.
Proficient in technology tools including word processing, data entry, and multi-line phone systems.
Punctual, dependable, and flexible as needed.
