The Nurse Educator serves as a clinical expert, educator, researcher, and mentor, supporting clinical practice within a team environment. This role requires advanced nursing education and significant nursing experience, including curriculum development and adult learning implementation. Licensure and certifications relevant to nursing education and clinical practice are mandatory.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
MSN is required, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and enrollment in an MSN program, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing plus a national specialty certification and Nursing Professional Development Certification or Healthcare Simulation Educator Certification is required. A minimum of five years of full-time nursing experience with at least three years in a related nursing specialty is required. Demonstration of experience in curriculum development and implementation of adult learning principles is required.
LICENSURE
State of Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. A current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card is required.
