Position Summary:

Guardian Security Services is seeking a seasoned Security Director to oversee security operations across the New Jersey region. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and team performance through direct oversight of Area Managers and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Leadership & Oversight:
    • Lead and mentor a team of Account Managers by providing coaching, support, and recognition, while fostering accountability. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive work environment to promote teamwork, open communication, and professional development, while taking ownership of succession planning at all levels and overseeing payroll.
    • Ensure consistent enforcement of company policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Manage the region's workload, account assignments, and resource allocation.
    • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with clients by understanding their security needs and ensuring satisfaction; Develop and implement corrective action plans for Identified opportunities for operational improvement
  • Talent Management:
    • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of key field personnel.
    • Oversee employee performance, disciplinary actions, and terminations in accordance with company policy.
    • Develop and coach Area Managers and staff to promote growth and accountability.
  • Client Relations:
    • Conduct regular site visits and meetings with key clients to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
    • Proactively address client concerns and implement solutions to maintain seamless service delivery.
    • Collaborate with business development and contract management teams on client retention and expansion opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, industry standards, and local regulations.
    • Analyze operational metrics and generate reports to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Implement initiatives to improve efficiency, service quality, and employee engagement.

Salary Range:

· $100,000 – $120,000 a year

· Full Time

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in the security or protective services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and leading diverse teams.
  • Ability to maintain a profitable book of business by cross-collaborating and utilizing results-oriented problem-solving skills to meet both client and employee growth and satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of regional labor laws and security regulations NJ
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and financial reporting. Ability to interpret simple financial data and use it to support decision-making
  • Ability to travel frequently within New Jersey Market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retired Law Enforcement
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
  • Security industry certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are desirable.
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and (BI) Business Intelligence tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation, and presentations. Strong Technical Skills and Attention to detail is a MUST.
  • Availability during emergencies, holidays, weekends, or to be on-call, depending on operational needs.
