ESI is now hiring a Director of Music in the Key West, FL area for the 2025-2026 school year.

POSITION SUMMARY:

ESI is looking for Director of Music for a Catholic School in Key West, FL. As a Director of Music, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our students' understanding and appreciation of music while fostering their spiritual and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, a respect for the Catholic faith, and the ability to inspire and educate young minds through the power of music. Someone with experience in Liturgical Music is strongly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field with extensive music experience.
• Willingness to obtain a Florida teaching license.
• Respect for Catholic teachings and values.
• Experience teaching music to students of various age groups.
• Proficiency in vocal and instrumental instruction.
• Proficiency in integrating technology and innovative teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students in the joy of music.
• Willingness to contribute to the school's faith-based community and participate in religious activities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, climb, crawl, push a cart, or lift during the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, including small packages and supplies.
• Ability to pass Level 2 background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the school's mission and Catholic values.
• Teach music classes to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on music theory and introduction to a variety of instruments.
• Foster a love for music, encourage creativity, and promote an understanding of the Catholic faith through music.
• Organize and lead choir, band, or other musical ensembles for school events and liturgical celebrations.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum.
• Plan and execute musical performances, including concerts, recitals, and special events
• .Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where students can explore their musical talents and express themselves.
• Any other duties as assigned.
