Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Riverfront Towers! This apartment community has 550 units and is located in Detroit, MI.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive and comfortable condition. This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make?ready process. The maintenance technician reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
• Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
• Maintain property grounds
• Handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
• Teamwork to achieve property goals
• Follow safety procedures

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
• Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
• Must be able to lift or move 100 lbs occasionally
• Facilities maintenance experience is highly preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• CPO preferred but not required; knowledge of pools is a plus
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Valid Driver's License with auto insurance
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be available after hours and weekends for on?call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
