Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician at South Alex. South Alex is a 400-unit mixed use development that features stylish one- and two-bedroom apartments, many with den options perfect for work-from-home productivity. The community features 45,000 SF of retail anchored by an Aldi grocery store.

In the Maintenance Technician role, the primary objective is to provide superior care and customer service to our most valued residents by providing quality, timely and right the first-time responses to residents service needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Replaces filters and cleans air conditioning vents in vacant apartments and occupied units, in addition to other preventative maintenance tasks.
2. Assists maintenance staff with service requests.
3. Handles on call duties whenever needed.
4. Replaces breezeway/hallway light bulbs as needed.
5. Assists with apartment make-readies.
6. Assists in the distribution of flyers and other material.
7. Assists with janitorial responsibilities and maintaining overall cleanliness of the community.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Availability to be on call for emergencies on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. General knowledge of maintenance tools and job tasks.

Work environment: Setting typical of a business office. This is an in-office position.
