*Your Day-to-Day Duties!*
* *Administer first aid, medication & specialized medical treatments,* providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile, and/or other students.
* *Assess situations involving students' other health related issues*, identifying problems, referring for proper treatment & complying with legal requirements.
* Assist special education and/or medically fragile students, *providing safe loading & unloading from buses during normal transport & emergency situations.*
* *Maintain student's confidential files and records, *providing information required by legal requirements and professional standards.
* *Monitor students with special needs until released to teacher, instructional assistant, or parent* ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers.
* *Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops & seminars* in order to gather, convey and/or share information regarding students health needs, service delivery & educational programs; and/or improving skills and knowledge.
* *Prepare reports documenting activities*, providing written reference, conveying information, and/or complying with established guidelines.
* *Report observations and/or incidents communicating information* to appropriate personnel for their action.
* *Respond to emergency medical situations ensuring appropriate immediate medical attention *& related follow-up action.
* *Secure students and/or their equipment *ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
* Perform other related duties as required/assigned.
