Amentum is seeking a Laborer III for the Las Vegas, NV area. This position will perform a range of duties in the maintenance and cleaning of work, shop, office areas, outside grounds and storage areas keeping them orderly and free of debris. Essential Responsibilities include using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, weed-eaters, vibrators, tampers, grinders, torches, etc., operating engine driven, pneumatic, and electric tools such as vibrating machines, hand guided ditch witches, air compressors, jack hammers, concrete saws, core drills, etc. The role requires working around quarry including crusher, wash plant, concrete batch plant, & asphalt batch plant. Duties also include raking asphalt, placing concrete, laying out saw cuts, saw cutting and removing concrete and asphalt, cutting transverse and longitudinal joints, placing backer rod and sealants, grading ditch lines, using hand signals, supporting other crafts as required, and working in extreme adverse weather conditions. Proficient computer skills including MS Office and computer-based time keeping programs are required. Additional requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, eligibility for government security clearance, U.S. citizenship, passing pre-hire drug screening and Fit-for-Duty physical, OSHA-10, CPR/First-aid certification, ability to wear a respirator, and bringing required identification and certifications. Additional qualifications include MSHA, Mine Safety & Health training card, HAZWOPER training, asbestos abatement worker certification, 8-hr or 16-hr Lead Based Paint worker certification, and ability to work on asbestos abatement, lead abatement and HAZWOPR teams.
