**Location:** Monroe Regional Hospital **Department:** Laboratory **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Status:** Full time **Shift:** Afternoons (United States of America) **Job Summary:** As a Laboratory Aide, you will collect samples from patients for laboratory screenings, maintain inventory, and distribute supplies as a member of the Clinical Laboratory team. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES + Collects blood samples from neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in the laboratoryoutpatient service area, laboratory area, nursing floors, or in the emergency room + Labels specimens and transports them to the laboratory for testing + Prepares urine specimens + Maintains inventory of supplies and notifies leadership when supplies areneeded + Assists in charting and filing laboratory slips, answers the telephone, and assists inmaintaining the laboratory in a clean and orderly condition The above summary of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
