Growth Tutoring LLC is a startup tutoring platform that provides personalized K-12 academic tutoring, college prep, and special needs support. We connect students with qualified tutors who deliver high-quality, tailored educational support. Our mission is to inspire confidence, foster academic growth, and help students achieve their full potential. We are currently exploring AI integration to enhance tutor matching and student support; these features are not guaranteed, but they are our goals and vision for the future.

We are currently in the pre-launch phase, with an expected launch in January 2025.

Role Overview

As a K-12 Tutor, you’ll provide personalized instruction in a variety of subjects, including:

• Math (K–12)
• English Language Arts (K–12)
• Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
• Foreign Languages
• College Prep & Counseling
• Special Needs Tutoring
• Community Impact Program (CIP)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in-person or online
• Prepare lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Explain concepts clearly and engagingly
• Track student progress and submit brief post-lesson reports
• Collaborate with parents and families to support learning outcomes

Session lengths: Minimum 30 minutes; negotiable based on student and tutor availability

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Must pass a background check
• Strong proficiency in at least one K–12 subject area and the ability to effectively tutor students in that subject
• Experience in tutoring or online tutoring
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Passion for education and working with students of diverse backgrounds
• Reliable internet, a computer with a webcam, and a quiet workspace for online sessions

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
• Experience with K–12 students (1+ years)
• Familiarity with Common Core and California curriculum
• Advanced knowledge in your subject area (e.g., Calculus, AP English, AP Science, etc.)
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.)
• Available to teach in-person lessons in Orange County, CA

• This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
