Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Japanese-speaking   English Language Teacher  to provide in-person customized lessons to our clients in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Information:

Ref #187186 : 1 adult, face-to-face

• Availability: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 12 pm-4 pm 
• Preferred start date: asap
• Lesson Frequency: Once per week 
• Lesson Duration: 60 minutes 
• Student’s location: Lessons are to be held at the student's premises in Indianapolis, IN 46202 (near Indianapolis Canal Walk)
• Current target language level: Beginner 
• Native language: Japanese
• Student's language needs and goals: She would like to improve daily conversations (grocery store, cafe, or restaurant, etc.). Tips for life in the US or Indiana. Building vocabulary, common phrases native speakers use every day, conversations with native speakers, how to be polite in the US, ordering at restaurants, sustainability in the US, making friends.
• Additional Information: Client needs a Japanese-speaking teacher to be able to communicate

Responsibilities :

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications :

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
