Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Work with Principal or Senior designer to develop interior schemes including furniture, fabrics, decorative lighting, art and accessories.
2. Prepare presentations, material boards and mood boards for clients
3. Extensive knowledge of market to source decorative items is expected
4. Be able to read and interpret architectural plans
5. Communicate effectively with architectural and design team, vendors and clients
6. Prepare and issue FF&E specifications, budgets and schedules
7. Prepare and process decorative proposals, purchase orders, follow up with vendors for order status
8. Oversee installation of decorative items
9. Develop and maintain meticulous documentation on projects
Qualifications
1. 1-3 years’ experience working for a residential interior design firm or retail design store
2. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus!
4. Detailed oriented and highly organized. Must have strong presentation skills
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage all aspects of project under the guidance of a senior designer. Strong desire to contribute and collaborate with the design team
7. Associate / Bachelors’ degree in Interior Design
