Industrial Electrician

Houston, TX 77095

1st shift schedule

M-F 6:00 am to 4:45 pm. Saturdays and Sundays with ever other Sunday off, 5:00 am to 1:00 pm depending on project.

Summary

The Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. This role supports senior electricians and works under supervision while continuing to build skills in electrical work and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring, cutting, bending, and installing electrical conduit using basic tools such as a hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender
• Support the installation of wiring systems in machines, equipment, and building structures
• Help inspect electrical components and systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions
• Aid in installing cable glands and pulling wire through conduit and trays
• Perform basic troubleshooting of motors, control panels, and lighting systems
• Assist with electrical terminations under supervision, including low and medium voltage (up to 480V/3-phase)
• Follow blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical schematics
• Maintain tools and work areas in safe, clean condition
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all times

Required

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3-5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• TWIC card and/or NCCER Certification a plus
• Ability to read basic electrical blueprints and schematics
• Comfortable using hand and power tools related to the trade
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from senior electricians
• Electrical Apprentice License or equivalent certification preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
• Work is performed in an industrial environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
• Must be able to work in confined spaces or at heights as needed

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to comply with drug screening and background check requirements
