Job Description High School Program Co-Op - Decatur ILIntern- Mechanic, Wash bay, Operation SupportThis is a part-time, hourly position.QualificationsStudents must be at least 17 years old, a senior in High School, on track to graduate, maintain a cumulative 2.25 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or higher and meet attendance requirements to be eligible for ADM's 12-month Career Pathways program. In additional, one formal letter of recommendation is required to be considered for program entry.Upon selection into the program, students will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and lift test administered per ADM policy/procedures.Summer 2025 Co-Op:June 2025 to July 20258 am - 4:30 pm Monday through FridayFall 2025 High School Co-Op for Credit:August 2025 to December 20258am to 12pm or 12pm to 4:00pm Monday through FridaySpring 2026 High School Co-Op for CreditJanuary 2026 to May 20268am to 12pm or 12pm to 4:00pm Monday through FridayProgram Graduation Ceremony: May 2026ADM Trucking is a food grade transportation company.Essential Job Functions - The individual is required to follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations. Ability to work well with others.Conduct all job tasks with a positive safety attitude.Maintains good housekeeping.Ability to follow instructionsAbility to lift hosesAbility to walk on wet surfacesAbility to work at heightsOperation Support:Lead a high volume of incoming calls and respond appropriately to plants and customersTracking goalsRetrieve Driver/HOS information using the Dispatch SystemCommunication with truck drivers, as well as internal and external customersMake decisions regarding coverage for breakdowns and delaysSuccessfully lead customer add-onsCoordination of replacement driver for driver call offsBuild and distribute the driver schedule dailyWillingness to work additional hours to cover vacations, as well as flexibility to cross train for multiple positionsJob Requirements:Ideal candidate should possess strong people and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-taskPossess excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, as well as a motivated personality with a willingness to take initiativeProficient in the use of a computer with experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferredMust be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phone.Position requires sitting for prolonged periods of time, heavy phone use; standing, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing a ladder, kneeling and operating a keyboard.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
