About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to oversee its day-to-day operations and lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional service to a family-oriented membership. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the club's operations, including golf, racquet sports, pool, and food and beverage services. This role demands a proactive and assertive leader with a strong presence, who can engage with members of all generations and ensure the club's amenities and services meet the highest standards. The GM/COO will also be tasked with strategic planning, talent acquisition, and retention, and must be adept at recognizing and supporting the contributions of the staff. Key characteristics for the GM/COO include outstanding communication skills, exceptional financial acumen, and a visionary, mission-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in club management, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, and a background that demonstrates a commitment to member satisfaction and the ability to anticipate and lead the club in line with evolving trends. A strong operational and facilities management background is essential, as is the ability to work closely with the Board and Committees. The role requires a leader who is highly visible, outgoing, and diplomatic, yet firm in decision-making, and who can foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the club.
