COMPANY: Metalico Buffalo Inc.
JOB TITLE: Forklift/Skidsteer Mechanic/ Technician

REPORTS: Operations Manager

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, non-exempt

HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm

COMPENSATION: $22-26/hr., based on skills and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment such as material handlers, skid steers, forklifts, etc. 
• Troubleshoot and repair all types of diesel and gas engine machines.
• Diagnose and repair heavy machinery (forklifts, skid steers, etc.)
• Repair, replace, recondition, disassemble, weld, and examine parts and engines.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and examine the findings of the tests.
• Test driving vehicles to evaluate their performance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on forklifts and skid steers. 
• Keep and maintain detailed records of all vehicle’s services.
• Maintain and keep a clean workspace.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
• Comply with all company safety measures and government regulations.
• Communicate with a professional attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years mechanic experience.
• Must have own tools.
• Commercial Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
• Squat and kneel.
• Bend and twist as appropriate.
• Sit/Stand for long periods at a time.
