Job Description

FOOD PRODUCTION MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR:

• JOB TYPE: Full-time (40 hours per week, 10 hours per day) with the potential for overtime.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Reports directly to the Production/Food Safety & Quality Manager. 
• The Production Supervisor supervises, communicates, and coordinates the activities of production workers by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Educates and trains employees on Food Safety and SQF standards.
• Ensures employees follow all Food Safety and Worker Safety practices.
• Perform daily inspections on all production equipment before use.
• Develops work plans, delegates & assigns job responsibilities to all employees.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills to promote a positive working environment for the production team members and all other departments throughout the company.
• Responsible for monitoring product food safety and product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure safe, quality products for our customers.
• Responsible for all required documentation paperwork being completed and turned in at the end of the day.
• Determine frozen raw products to be taken out of the freezer every Wednesday prior to the production run.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-year of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements.
• Self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Can lead a team with a positive attitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Cold (40 degrees to -30 degrees in freezer), Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, climbing, kneeling, bending at waist, turning/twisting, use of fingers, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, repetitive motions and lifting up to 50#.
