Overview:

Role: School Cleaner

Pay Rate: $17-18/hr

Hours: Mon-Fri (5pm-1am)

Location: 112 W Delaware Ave, Pennington, NJ 08534

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to uphold quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Utilize protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning tasks on schedule.
• Communicate equipment and supply needs or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, and shared spaces.
• Remove trash and manage waste disposal as needed.
• Respond promptly to alerts and requests for assistance.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks diligently.
• Ability to complete responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Must be punctual and dependably attend scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
• Must lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as per applicable laws.
• A criminal background check is required.
