Medix Infusion is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Intake Clerk to join our team. In this crucial administrative role, you will manage a high volume of intake requests, ensuring a seamless process for our patients and healthcare providers. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and manage intake responsibilities, including queuing fax requests.
• Respond to electronic referrals by creating new patient records/intake forms and routing them appropriately.
• Review hard copy paperwork for new and existing patients, directing documents to relevant team members.
• Scan, upload, and organize documents with precision.
• Complete follow-up tasks as assigned.
• Ensure work is completed promptly to prevent delays in patient care.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services as requested.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior always.
• Proficiently use Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a healthcare environment supporting intake and scheduling team members.
• Proven ability to create and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering a positive patient experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Candidates will be required to complete a Predictive Index Assessment as part of the recruitment process.

Physical Demands:

Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
