Design Manager

Kreuz Staffing & Business Development is seeking a Team Leader / Design Manager for a leading business interiors firm that has been serving clients in the corporate, healthcare, government, and education markets throughout Western New York for over 135 years. They are the exclusive Western New York Certified MillerKnoll dealer and offer extensive furniture options from more than 80 office furniture manufacturers.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Manager located in the Buffalo Area. The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the design team, distributing design workload to meet production deadlines, overseeing design projects, and collaborating with clients and the sales team to understand customer needs and preferences. The Design Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors.
Qualifications
• Experience in the interior design field
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• CET and CAP2020 experience helpful
• Knowledge of current design trends and principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal interdisciplinary teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience in managing multiple design projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in the furniture industry
• Knowledge of furniture manufacturers and brands is a plus
