Job Description
We're working with a well-established manufacturer to hire a senior-level logistics professional focused on optimizing warehouse and distribution center operations. This is a high-impact role responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, leading automation initiatives, and enhancing overall efficiency across logistics functions. You'll collaborate with leadership and frontline teams to streamline systems, reduce waste, and position the organization for scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations using lean and Six Sigma principles
Evaluate and revise SOPs and material handling strategies to improve efficiency and consistency across shifts
Optimize warehouse layouts and inventory location strategies to reduce travel time and improve throughput
Implement technology and automation solutions that enhance labor efficiency and space utilization
Analyze operational data using tools like Power BI and apply insights to guide decision-making
Support annual budgeting through forecasting, data modeling, and scenario analysis
Partner with cross-functional leaders to plan for future capacity and equipment needs
Provide training and guidance to logistics staff on new systems, tools, and methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution center leadership
Expertise in lean manufacturing, warehouse layout optimization, and logistics automation
Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI), ERP systems, and statistical modeling
Strong project management, communication, and change management skills
Preferred:
Master's degree or industry certifications (e.g., APICS/CSCP)
Knowledge of import/export compliance and international shipping regulations
