Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will support physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities: Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information Assist with clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems Schedule appointments, manage phone calls, and handle patient inquiries Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations with pharmacies and insurance providers Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly equipped Comply with all healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current CMA certification CPR certification Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems Work Environment: This role may require standing for extended periods, assisting with minor medical procedures, and interacting with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced clinical setting.
