We’re on the lookout for a passionate Caregiver to join our dedicated team. Here, we cater to a variety of lifestyles and care levels, including senior living, assisted care, and memory care for our 157 residences.

Summary of Role

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide routine daily nursing care and services tailored to each resident’s unique assessment and care plan, all while working closely with your supervisors.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction of the nurse, such as range of motion exercises and assistance in ambulation.
• Provide personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with household services essential to health care at home, including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and develop friendships.
• Observe and document the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting changes to the nurse.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance.
• Promote personal safety and a safe environment by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations.
• Assist residents in preparing for appointments and social programs.
• Help with moving and transporting residents as needed.
• Support residents in walking with or without self-help devices as instructed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Tactful communication with personnel, residents, and families.
• Comfortable working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding English for effective communication.

Education and Experience

• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant or a licensed Medication Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• Preferred: 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
