Role Description

 

Are you skilled in audio/video installations and want a change of scenery? Maybe your old company wouldn't let you get into programming, sales or other roles? Only getting minimal hours at your old job?We can help! We're looking for a new member to join our team.

 

This is a full-time on-site role for an Audio/Video & Smart Home Technician located in San Diego, CA. This individual will be responsible for the setup, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of audio/video systems, WiFi networks, home automation equipment and related technology in mainly residential homes (95%/5% split residential/commercial). This individual will also engage with customers and have a sales responsibility for on-site add-ons and/or walkthroughs.

 

Qualifications

 

• MINIMUM 3+ years experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of home AV and smart home systems.
• Programming experience with URC, RTI, Control4 or Lutron is preferred.
• Experience with commercial audio/video systems (optional, but a plus).
• Strong understanding of AV equipment (e.g., TVs, Sonos, sound systems, projectors, receivers, etc.) and smart home devices (e.g., thermostats, cameras, smart locks, lights, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of networking principles (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, routers, etc.).
• Ability to design with SmartDraw, CAD or related programs is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Possess all of your own tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong rapport with clients.
• Professional and dependable.
• A current and valid driver's license and transportation.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, think clearly and overcome obstacles.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds multiple times/day.

 

Compensation/Benefits

 

• $60K-$100K, depending on experience, capabilities and possible commissions.
