We empower attorneys by automating essential workflows in personal injury cases, facilitating legal research, auto-drafting legal memos, and analyzing legal documents and medical records to expedite fact-finding. Our secure solution can responsibly help lawyers reduce up to 90% of manual efforts, enabling them to better serve their clients and positively impacting the lives of millions. Role Overview We are looking for an applied legal researcher with a strong understanding of how law firms deliver professional services and execute complex legal tasks. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing AI solutions that streamline professional services. This includes shaping research initiatives, developing proprietary benchmarks, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to optimize legal workflows through AI systems. Responsibilities Develop and Deliver Legal Expertise Serve as the legal domain expert to support AI research and development in tackling complex professional service tasks. Translate intricate legal procedures into actionable insights for AI model development. Work closely with our engineering teams to define and develop AI systems that address specific legal workflows. Conducting comparable research and analysis to better understand the marketing landscape. Benchmarking and Dataset Creation Build proprietary benchmarks and datasets to evaluate models and model systems for legal research tasks. Grade and review hundreds of model-generated answers and annotations to maintain high-quality standards. Qualifications 3-7 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firm or an equivalent professional service provider. High-quality work product under demanding deadlines with strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex legal or technical problems across diverse stakeholder groups. Adaptability in uncertain environments, with the ability to define clear outcomes where success criteria may be underspecified. Hands-on mindset for tasks requiring detailed review, feedback, and iteration—willingness to “do the trenches work” akin to junior associate-level tasks when necessary.
